News Two Chillicothe natives busted on US RT 23 with large amount of Methamphetamine, Cocaine


According to Pickaway County Sheriff Robert B. Radcliff on May 23, 2017 at 12:30 AM Deputy Harger was on patrol when the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office got a call of a suspected drunk driver that was southbound on US Rte 23 from Little Walnut Road, and was driving an orange Camaro.

Deputy Harger located the suspect vehicle on US Rte 23 in the area of Huston Street. The suspected vehicle turned eastbound onto Huston Street. Deputy Harger initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and was able to get it stopped on Huston Street just east of US Rte 23, at 12:36 AM.

Deputy Harger made contact with the driver Jason Baker Sr. and the passenger Teresa Zlater, both of Chillicothe, Ohio. Deputy Harger got his partner, K9 Aron, Deputy Harger deployed K9 Aron for a free air narcotic sniff around the vehicle. K9 Aron alerted on the suspected vehicle for the presence of narcotics.

Deputy Harger and Sgt Carpenter searched the suspect vehicle and located a large amount of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and cash. The weight of the suspected methamphetamine exceeded over a pound.

Both Jason Baker Sr. and Teresa Zlater were transported to the Pickaway County Jail. Both were charged with Trafficking In Drugs and Possession Of Drugs. Detectives assigned to the US 23 Major Crimes Task Force were called in to assist.

The case remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
