Online insurance company Sonnet has announced that it has signed on to be the official insurance partner of Toronto FC.
According to a release, Sonnet “will be present at all TFC home games through in-stadium signage, in-game features and the Sonnet Top Corner located in the south west corner of the field.” The out-of-home boards flanking the Gardiner Expressway will also sport the company’s promotional material.
“Sonnet is continuing to partner with like-minded brands to extend our awareness in Canada and strengthen our community engagement,” said Sonnet vice-president of marketing John Rocco. “We know Toronto FC is one of the fastest growing sports platforms in the country, and we’re excited to align our optimism with this team and their passionate fans.”
“We’re excited to welcome Sonnet as the official insurance partner of Toronto FC,” MLSE vice-president of global partnerships Jeff Deline commented. “Sonnet’s focus on spreading optimism and community engagement is a winning combination and we look forward to growing awareness to this new brand among our supporters, in and out of BMO Field.”
As part of the sponsorship arrangement, Sonnet will have one promotional night on September 30; fans in attendance that day can win merchandise.
Sonnet will also be partnering with forward Sebastian Giovinco, who will serve as brand ambassador.
