Insurance Business CAA recognized for insurance technology innovations

CAA recognized for insurance technology innovations CAA Insurance announced yesterday that it has been recognized by an American insurance institute for its ability to adapt to innovations in insurance technology.

This marks the first time a Canadian company has been bestowed an Americas Insurance Award (AIA) award by the Chartered Insurance Operations Professional (CIOP).

The AIA recognizes examples of innovation, integrity, expert execution, and leadership in the insurance industry. This year’s AIA theme was “Lessons in Operational Innovation & Performance”.

“We are absolutely delighted to be recognized with such a significant award in the insurance industry,” said CAA president Matthew Turack. “CAA’s brand continues to grow steadily as a trusted and industry-leading insurance provider and we are incredibly excited for what is to come in the months and years ahead.”

According to the CIOP, CAA was chosen to receive the award for a number of factors; the insurer displayed “outstanding operational innovation” by:
 

  • Transforming its application platform into a strategic enabler, deploying its Guidewire suite in a timely fashion
 
  • Utilizing big data and extensive modeling to come up with advanced risk segmentation and pricing approaches
 
  • Improving customer and employee experience by using the Avaya Telephony Platform to integrate the company’s distribution channels and product offerings

“It’s clear that CAA Insurance is seeing momentum this year,” added Turack. “We are dedicated to building strong customer relationships across Canada and it’s our outstanding operational innovation that helps us get there. We look forward to continuing to build in the months and years ahead.”
