News Fatal accident in Pike County Wednesday

According to a OSP report-
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on State Route 32, in Pike County, Wednesday morning. According to the report, 68-year-old James Smith, of Beaver, was traveling south on State Route 335 while 28-year-old Anthony Knell, of Vanceburg, KY, was traveling east, in his semi truck, on State Route 32. Mr. Smith failed to yield from a stop sign and was struck by Mr. Knell. Both Mr. Smith and Mr. Knell traveled off the south side of State Route 32 where Mr. Knell’s vehicle overturned. Mr. Smith was wearing his seat belt however, he was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead on scene. Mr. Knell was transported by Air Evac to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV, with non-life threatening injuries.
